It is the fact that the Noir gyms also carry the EE tag that has so sullied EEs reputation as an open clan that was once highly respected in spite of it's lack of elite status. It was why I left EE again so quickly. And like a neighborhood that is going bad, dropping property values attract new residents of a social economic status that only cause value to drop more. I cannot believe Thor is getting much return on his investment right now.

The Hypocrisy Continues
It just never ends on WEBL. Before I illustrate this weeks hypocrisy allow me to give you a few comments made in the past two weeks by the morons who inhabit the WEBL forums.

Sanford: Maybe we can set up a forum outside of WeBL for those that want to call each other fat or gay.
Bag Rack: One good thread with people really bringing the WeBL world to life through characters is better than megabytes of "you're fat and gay".
Straightjacket: Just like every other post, it was ignored....maybe everybody was in RP calling each other fat/gay.

Now look at some of these other comments, all of which took place during a thread suggesting we split Smack and Role Play, and, as always, Evil Empire received the blame for ruining the Role Play thread.

Sanford: The recent rp has turned into attacks against managers (I guess what some may call smack) and and I'm sure this is not what Bruce intended this for.
Falcon's Fury: You can say that people aren't RPing enough for that kind of thing, but the state of RP is why people don't.
Falcon's Fury: I'm not going into RP anymore simply because I didn't like what I saw there when I actually tried to roleplay as a manager, or when I tried to promote my fighters.
Straightjacket: Evolve, i am bringing ideas to the table to help improve the game. What have you done? Count how many times someone uses a quotation mark? This sounds like typical EE RP....i suggest you take to RP.I brought up the idea of splitting the boards weeks ago. Just like every other post, it was ignored....maybe everybody was in RP calling each other fat/gay. Maybe everybody was focused on all the brilliant RP.
The Bag Rack: Does anyone think that the brutal personal attacks and actionable defamation are bringing new managers to the game? Let's see one scrap of evidence that this is the case.
The Bag Rack: stop listening to people who only think of themselves and have no regard for the boxing simulation or Bruce's legal exposure. There's nothing to be gained by discussing the best plan with such people.
Hecate: Since EE had been out of RP it has not been dead though not very active for sure. I think that is because when EE / Noir is active in the forum they do nothing but attack. They are not RP, they are not using clever smack (a la White Mean Can't Jump) but they rant like children. Therefore, they have so conditioned most people to avoid the RP forum unless they get caught up in the nasty Noir crap flinging contest.

And I have saved this last one, by Hecate, for a reason, here is the quote: I think the fact that with Noir out of the RP forum there are significantly fewer post noir type smack post proves that most gyms don't prefer it. It is the prefered style of a minority of EE gyms that go by Noir.

I have posted all of these to show a point, supposedly only Evil Empire makes you're fat and gay jokes, only Noir unleashes wicked personal attacks, and the role playing forum, and all of WEBL, would grow and prosper and role play would boom if only Noir would stop their crap flinging in Role Play. Clean up role play for the good of WEBL!!!!!!!

Okay, okay, maybe they are right, let's hop over to Role Play and see how much cleaner role play is without us, see how much better it is without withering personal insults.

I suppose we cannot call a fat woman fat for fear of insulting all potential, possible female members, but he can salivate over some woman in a picture and refer to her as a chick. But, we don't want to pick on Unforgiven, we want to help him. With that in mind, Evil Empire will be taking up a collection to purchase Unforgiven the following book....

How sad, role play has dropped to the level where the traveling freak show know as Doctor Strange and Stick qualify as decent smack. Also, in case you haven't noticed, there has been a discussion in Site Design for how to 'fix' the role play board, here are some highlights for your perusal.

How to Stop Unforgiven's Whining in 3 Easy Steps

Whining is a habit Unforgiven developed over time, and it will take a little time to break it. But, don't despair; you can stop his whining habit. Here's how.

1. Notice when he whines and choose your response. Changing the pattern of whining begins when you change how you respond to it.
2. When you notice him whining, call his attention to it. Whining has become an unconscious habit and he needs to learn to recognize it first. Some strategies you can try are: Purposeful ignoring, Whine back (use a bit of humor to cue him to notice his whining by showing what a whiny voice sounds like), stop him immediately when he whines and say, "Do you hear that you are whining? Tell me the same thing in your normal voice.".
3. Reinforce non-whining. Focus on the problem for 2-3 months, and thereafter if the habit creeps back. Praise and reward her to reinforce the new learning.

Here is his latest 'gem': There is a difference between free speech and slanderous, hateful free for all. As bagrack noted no potential new managers looking over the site (especially female) are going to stay here unless they are ignorant roleplay trolling idiots. This is a boxing sim, in no way, to play this game is it needed to call anyone a whore, fat, gay or any other third grade insult. True roleplaying is creative not base name calling. A stronger enforcement of the AUP should be taken and these children who cant deal with playing unless they can call someone " whore, fat, or gay" can make a roleplay forum offsite while this one maintains an atmosphere that is competitive but less school yard. First off, ignorant roleplay trolling idiots is clearly a swipe at particular people. I suppose whore, fat, gay is not okay but trolling idiots is fine. I suppose now the AUP makes exceptions if you use bigger words when you insult people. Fucking hypocrite, you are like the parent who smacks her child for smoking with a cigarette in her mouth. Perhaps, Unforgiven, you didn't read the god damn description of role play. A forum for managers to appear "in character" and talk smack, etc. It is there for in and out of character smack you stupid fuck, Bag Rack should pay attention to this as well. Add to that, Morton's himself said people wanted an almost anything goes forum. Unforgiven, Bag Rack, what do you dickheads want, your idea of what is fun? And why is Unforgiven so concerned about female player retention? Do you need more women around? Having problems getting a date? Perhaps you should, on your help page, have a link for female members...perhaps a picture of yourself and a brief description.

Are you fucking kidding me? Two years? While Hooks was allowed to make remarks about Soviet Union troops killing Polish citizens? The moderators at WEBL may have taken leave of their senses. Here is a list of people who smacked Smiles following his gag and received no punishment for it. The actions of the WEBL Staff and the other players clearly illustrates that a man may use his mental faculties for a long time before accounting to himself for the way in which he uses them.

If there was a new player or a player that just wanted to join a clan for a sense of sommunity I used to suggest they join the Evil Empire as they were a good group of guys who didnt necessarily care about game performance as much as comraderie.
